Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas this year with just us. It was our first Christmas together without any extended family but we still enjoyed it. Reagan really enjoyed herself with all her new toys from Santa. A couple of gifts were an Ariel doll and a floor puzzle of the sea. She loves anything that relates to underwater these days. Needless to say, her favorite movie is Finding Nemo. Here are some pictures from that day

Thanksgiving
I know it has been awhile since Thanksgiving but I am finally getting around to posting. We had Grandma and grandpa Mortensen as well as Aunt Ilene and Eric here for Thanksgiving. It was really fun to have family here and to show them Enid, OK! :) We had so much fun and it was exciting for Shaler and I to be hosts for Thanksgiving. We smoked our turkey this year and I must say it was pretty darn good!!

Happy Halloween
This year was Reagan's first trick-or-treating experience. She loved it for about the first block and then was done. It didn't help that Dad was helping her eat the candy while going door to door which made her want to eat the candy instead of going and getting more! I guess this is why we love Dad's! Reagan was the cutest flower I have ever seen! You be the judge... :)

This summer....
This summer has been crazy for us with us having extended stays in four different locations. I have many more pictures and things to tell but for now this is just a preview of our summer. We first moved in with my parents in April to help out with my mom. During that time Shay went to Alabama for a 6 week training. I joined him for 3 of the 6 weeks. We also visited some friends in Pensecola, Florida while we were there. Reagan and I then came back to Utah while Shay went to Oklahoma. He then flew out a week later and we all moved to Enid Oklahoma with the wonderful help of my sisters. We were in Oklahoma for a month before Shaler left again for another 4 week training in Colorado. During that time Reagan and I spent 3 weeks in Utah helping my mom with her surgeries. And while in all this chaos we managed to celebrate Reagan's 2nd Birthday. We are all finally back together now in Oklahoma and will be for at least a year. So like I said, we have been busy! Reagan was a trooper through all the change and she is so happy to have daddy home. So here are a few pictures of the summer.

We have decided to make our blog private after getting comments from total strangers. It is weird how they come across your blog in the first place. Anyway, please, please, PLEASE leave your email address in the comments so we can add you to our invite list! We would love to keep in touch with as many people as possible. We will make the blog private next week. Thank you!

Never too late....
Our lives have been so crazy the last couple of months that I did not realize how long it had been since I updated the blog until I looked a couple of weeks ago. So sorry for all those crazy fans of ours out there! :) We have been so busy with getting our family ready for the big move to Oklahoma. Right now we still do not know when that is exactly, but we will keep everyone informed. We went to Seattle back in March again for a one last trip. :( We were able to stay a whole week and loved every minute. We also drove down to Oregon to see Shay's brother and sister-in-law and their two kids.
Reagan could not get enough of the cats in Seattle. She was so happy that Grandma was able to get the cat out from under the bed!

We also enjoyed a wonderful Easter. The weather was a little gloomy in the morning but Reagan still thought the idea of candy filled eggs was wonderful.

We also made cupcakes the night before. Reagan loves to help me cook and make a mess!

The New Year
2008 has come and gone and we are very excited for 2009! Mostly because Shay is graduated and i get to stop working full time and be a mom. Unfortunately we do not get to start our new adventure until June but in the meantime we get to have a lot of time together as a family. Reagan has developed some new habits this year that Shay is extremely fond of.... first, shopping! Especially for bracelets and necklaces

and the pink tutu must be worn around the apartment these days! Oh how Shay loves it! (sigh!) He now feels for his brother Jared whose daughter, Ella, is always a princess!
